UPDATE: I got a new laptop, but I'm extremely busy with school and job search at the moment, but I'll try to finish my current commitments as soon as possible.


A little about me: I learned Japanese in elementary school, and I was fluent by the time I left Japan. After discovering D-addicts in 2004, I started watching a lot of Japanese TV programs again and started fansubbing in 2005. Even though I'm a college student now in the US, fansubbing is still a serious hobby of mine.
Due to weak dorama in the recent years, I have shifted to Japanese movies, also because I can work on my own flexible schedule rather than having to meet a deadline every week.
As I said before in many occasions, I fansub for myself. It's the best way of maintaining and improving my proficiency in Japanese. Also, I want to share works I really enjoyed. Many Japanese movies and doramas come without English subtitles, so I hope my fansubbing efforts will open the road for others to enjoy the fine media that I was able to discover.

My translation style: Although I try to make all dialogues sound as smooth as possible in English, accuracy precedes over all else for me. As long as I'm a fansubber, I would rather have the viewers pause than leaving out something or making up a whole different line as some professional translators do to meet the strict length guidelines. Well-established romanizations such as "Tokyo" will be kept, but for maximum accuracy, I tend to use Wāpuro Romanization and leave out long vowels for lesser known romanization of names such as "Satou" rather than "Sato" or "Satoh" as it's commonly and falsely romanized in the West. Personally, I would rather use Hepburn and write "Satō", but input is too difficult and some subtitle viewers do not support unicode.
Names are always kept in (Family Name)_(Given Name) order in accordance with Asian formats.
