About
I am currently an independent fansubber of Japanese shows, initially starting with translating the Fuji TV reality show, Ainori in the Summer of 2007. I began branching into dramas in 2008. I am not native Japanese, all my Japanese has been through 4 and a half years of schooling. My Japanese is not perfect, but I do the best that I can. I fansub as a way to keep up my Japanese ability as well as provide a service for the viewing community.
While I translate works by myself generally, I depend on others for timing and QC purposes. If you're interested in helping out with a project of mine, please do not hesitate to contact me through PM at D-addicts or by e-mail at rollinsfansubs [at] gmail [dot] com. As my schedule is unpredictable, I don't know when or if I will be subbing shows for a given season, but I'd like to maintain my current pace of 2 subs a week, one for Ainori and one for a drama series.
Disclaimer
As I am relatively new to the fansubbing community, I don't adhere to all the rules and conventions established by it, although this may change in time. I have only a few rules for enjoying my fansubs.
- My subs are not meant for commercial release. This includes creating DVDs of a video file, putting my subs on them and selling them for profit. My subs are meant to be enjoyed freely and should not be used for profit. If you find you have bought something with my subs on them, please inform me immediately.
- No editing of my subs are allowed once released. Please do not edit my subs and reupload them anywhere without first informing me. This is to prohibit people who may seek to take credit where credit is undue. This includes using my subs for hardsubbing.
- No uploading of my subs in any form to streaming sites. Starting in the summer of 2008, I will no longer allow my subtitles to be uploaded for online viewing through streaming sites such as Youtube, Veoh, Crunchyroll, or any others. My reasoning for this is mostly in line with the rest of the fansubbing community's opinion on this matter. (The lone exception is my own personal YouTube account, rollins31)

Sometimes, for fun, I sub a Japanese music video here and there due to the relatively short time it takes to translate a song. I don't do this with any regularity and only mainly just for music I like, but if you have a song you would like translated, point me in its direction and maybe I can give it a shot.
Unfortunately, all videos are down currently, I am considering reuploading to another location.
