Massuki Fansubs

Massuki was founded on September 2007 by mhaellix. Mhaellix has been a translator for various groups. In the end after learning various parts in the fansubbing process, she has decided to start her own group.

Join Us

We can bring you great subs because of a great team. If you would like to be a part of a fast-paced group then read on. We have some pretty steep requirements for those who want to join, so serious applicants only.

Requirements:

  • Must be available atleast 16 hours a week.
  • Must be able to work fast and finish their parts in 24 hours (except for translators who have 48 hours)
  • Must be available for the duration of the series
  • Must be able to operate aegisub.
  • Must check e-mail regularly. (To give consistent progress reports.)

Additional Requirements:

  • Initial Translators - must be fluent in English, have beginner-intermediate Japanese grammar skills, know hiragana, katakana, and at least 200 Kanji, no fansubbing experience necessary
  • Translators - must be fluent in English, have intermediate-advance Japanese grammar skills, must be able to communicate in Japanese, must know hiragana, katakana and at least 500 Kanji, fansubbing experience a plus but not necessary
  • Timers - fansubbing experience necessary (at least 2 series)
  • Typesetter - karaoke sfx is a plus but not necessary, fansubbing experience necessary (at least 5 series)
  • Karaoke SFX - fansubbing experience necessary (at least 5 series)
  • Editor - must be fluent in English, must have some Japanese knowledge, editing experience (at least 2 years, not necessarily in fansub)
  • Quality Control - must be knowledgeable in all aspects of fansubbing, fansubbing experience necessary (at least 5 series)
