Salutations

groink captures is a one-man operation, working out of Pearl City, Hawaii. I specialize in the following areas:

  • Capture Japanese dramas and other Japanese-rated programming from broadcast TV - usually already subtitled in English.
  • Convert programming from legacy media to digital. Legacy media include VHS/SVHS, Betamax, vinyl and laser disc. I also digitally improve audio quality by using tools such as Adobe Audition.
  • Hard subtitle Japanese programming.

Ongoing projects

  • Atsu-hime - TV capture. Currently on episode 13. BACKUP ONLY! I won't be releasing episodes unless the primary uploader is unable to capture/upload an episode.
  • Dare ni mo Ienai (TBS, 1993) - TV capture, looking for someone to sub just episode 1
  • Itsuka Mata Aeru (Fuji TV, 1995) - Subtitling, currently on episode 2
  • Ganbare!! ROBOCON (TV Asahi, 1974) - Subtitling, currently converting from laser disc to digital
  • Hitotsu Yane no Shita (Fuji TV, 1993) - Starting over again, this time working with SARS-Fansubs
